RIVI is focused on activating community and youth leadership, youth participation, positive youth development, community development (place-making), social innovation, event management, systems change, creative arts, facilitator, convenor and capacity builder, faith-based, advocating for professional youth practice and Pacific Youth Development.

We take a social problem and turn it into and opportunity for social impact that leads to social change.

We believe that Youth Development is a mana-enhancing profession that often overlooked and can be harnessed to strengthen, support, encourage and compliment the different sectoral intersections of Education and Training, Health & Wellbeing, Climate Action, Mental Health, Sexual Health, Drug and Alcohol prevention, Advocacy, Technology, Sports and Recreation, Leadership Development, Civic Engagement and Young Citizen Participation. It's transferable into any sector.  

Our community and youth centric approach is underpinned by Pacific and Maori indigenous knowledge and prevention systems which guides our understanding of health and wellbeing supported with disciplines such as, Critical Thinking, Systems Thinking and Design Thinking.
